The achievements of Hear the World have been honored with many awards in recent years. Here we have listed the most prominent ones for you. We are proud of all the recognition and looking forward to many more.

Winner
The integrated Hear the World awareness campaign „Die Unheilige Hör-Tour” was presented with the PR Report Award 2013 in the category “Healthcare”. Each spring, the PR Report Awards honor the best campaigns, projects and teams in the German PR business.

Winner
The Hear the World Foundation was awarded with the “COMPRIX 2013“ for the integrated awareness campaign “Die Unheilige Hör-Tour”. The COMPRIX is regarded as the “Oscar” for creative healthcare communication. Currently, there is no comparable international award in this dimension.

World record! The Hear the World Foundation has been awarded the Guinness World Records title for the world’s largest photographic awareness campaign with 53 celebrity ambassadors. Today, more than 60 international stars support the good cause. Photographer and musician Bryan Adams captured them all in the Hear the World pose for conscious hearing, with their hands cupped behind the ear. With their portraits, the stars contribute towards raising public awareness for the importance of good hearing as well as the consequences of hearing loss.

Shortlist, portrait category
The key visual of the CHANCES* event was nominated for the shortlist of the “PR Picture Award 2012” in the portrait category. The picture was selected for the shortlist by an international jury from over 1500 submitted photographs. Overall only 70 pictures were nominated for the seven award categories. The international award – Germany, Austria, Switzerland – is organized by “News Aktuell” in collaboration with “APA-OTS”.

Finalist
The Hear the World –campaign "The loudest fan instruments - the ultimate test" was nominated as finalist for the “PR Report Award” in the category Low Budget. The jury consisting of 25 public relations and business communication experts honors exceptional successful persons and projects of German speaking PR business with the “PR Report Award” each year. Awards show will be on May 5th, 2011 in Berlin.

Gold Award
The selection committee of the renowned “Mercury Excellence Awards” awarded Hear the World Magazine with the “Gold Award” in the “magazines” category. A total of 750 applications from 21 countries were evaluated by an international panel of experts in the field of Public Relations and Business Communications. The international award honors outstanding creativity, dedication and innovation in professional communication and addresses agencies, non-profit organizations and companies.

Best Use of Photography or Design
In the UK, Hear the World UK won the Silver Award at the CIPR Home Counties South Silver PRide Awards in the "Best Use of Photography or Design " category. It’s a fantastic result in what is always an incredibly competitive category. The CIPR Pride Awards recognizes and rewards the thriving PR profession from across the UK.

Healthcare: Ethical & OTC Consumer
Hear the World was awarded with a "highly commended" at the PR Week Awards for it's outstanding PR work. The UK PR Week Awards are without equal in scope, in fairness, in scale. The film industry has its "Oscars", theatre the "Golden Globes". They are the pinnacle of achievement, but without PR, would they be front of mind for the public? Rightly then, winning a PRWeek Award, to the cognoscenti, is as great an achievement as winning an "Oscar" or an "Olivier".

Outstanding Website
Hear the World received the WebAward 2010 by the Web Marketing Association for its outstanding achievement in web development. Since 1997 this award has been setting the standard of excellence for website development. It is the premier recognition program for web developers and marketers worldwide.

Winner "Public Education"
The Hear the World initiative won best campaign in the category "Public Education" of the EMEA SABRE Awards. Hear the World was selected as the winner ahead of other celebrated campaigns including the ‘Brain Bank Appeal’ by the Parkinson’s Disease Society and ‘Smoking in Pregnancy’ from the Department of Health.

Silber Award "Best Cause Marketing Event"
The Hear the World exhibition won the Halo Silver Award in the category "Best Cause Marketing Event". This Awards are American cause marketing's highest honor of outstanding companies and causes. They distribute Campaign Awards in more than ten categories.

Certificate of Excellence "Poster/Calendar/Photography"
The Hear the World initiative received a Certificate of Excellence in the category "Poster/Calendar/Photography" of the EMEA SABRE Awards. The Award recognizes "Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation". It is one of the most respectable prizes of public relations worldwide

Winner "Digital Media - Online Media B2C"
The Hear the World initiative was awarded with the "COMPRIX 2010" for their pathbreaking and valuable Internet presence. The “COMPRIX” recognizes innovative healthcare communication, aiming to drive quality improvement in the market. It is now the biggest award in the pharmaceutical and healthcare market segments.

In the "large enterprises" category
A professional jury from Swiss Marketing awarded the trophy for outstanding Marketing achievement to Phonak for the Hear the World initiative. Phonak wins the Marketing Trophy in the "large enterprises" category. Every year, Swiss Marketing awards the Marketing Trophy for the most innovative and successful marketing ideas from Switzerland. Swiss Marketing is the leading professional organization in Switzerland for Marketing and Sales. The jury gave a special honour to Phonak for it’s outstanding achievement with regard to fighting the stigma surrounding hearing loss and hearing instruments, that still exists today, with the Hear the World initiative.

Silver Award
The Hear the World magazine was awarded with the “Silver Mercury Excellence Award" in the category "Magazines". This award honours excellence, imagination and innovation in public relations and corporate communications. Not only large PR firms, but also non-profit organizations and small businesses all over the world are recognized.

Nominee
The Hear the World magazine was nominated for the 2009 "Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany). This award is the most important official German recognition for outstanding achievements in the fields of product and communication design. It is also called the 'award of awards'. The reason: No other design award subjects entrants to similarly demanding standards. Companies are only eligible to compete for the award, if their products have already received a domestic or international award.

Shortlist
The Hear the World magazine was nominated for the 2009 Shortlist of the “iF communication design award”. This internationally renowned design competition recognizes achievements in the ever diversifying field of communication design - from printed image brochures to campaigns to websites. The award is presented to outstanding designs, offering an opportunity to compete with innovative products in a serious competition.

Communication Team of the Year in Europe
The Hear the World initiative received the 2009 "Stevie Award" in the category "Communications Team of the Year in Europe". The “Stevie Award” is presented to international companies in recognition of their achievements and positive contributions around the world with the purpose of generating public awareness through the award. The “Stevie” has been presented since 2002, and quickly became one of the most desirable international awards.

Rank 4 and Rank 10
The photos of the two ambassadors, Plácido Domingo and Franka Potente were ranked fourth and tenth at the "OBS-awards 2009". The award recognizes the best PR photos from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Journalists, media spokespeople and communication experts vote on the PR images to be honoured by “News aktuell”.

Gold Award
The Hear the World magazine won the ECON Gold Award in the category "magazines, newsletter". Furthermore, the HtW initiative was shortlisted in the category "strategic corporate communication". The “Econ Award” is presented by the publishing house Econ and the Handelsblatt, recognizing the best German-language corporate communications. Eligible participants are companies, associations, clubs, foundations, institutions and administrative bodies.

Creativity Award
The Hear the World campaign received the 2008 "International PR Campaign Creativity Award". This award is presented by the "International Public Relations Association" for outstanding international campaigns.

Award Letter of Distinction
2008 Swiss Dialog Marketing Award Letter of Distinction The Hear the World initiative received the 2008 “Letter of Distinction" of the "Swiss Dialog Marketing Award". This award recognizes outstanding works in dialog marketing in Switzerland. The winners of the gold, silver and bronze awards are selected by a panel of expert judges, who evaluate projects according to quality and quantity criteria.

Finalist
The Hear the World initiative was selected as one of the finalists of the “COMPRIX 2008”. The “COMPRIX” recognizes innovative healthcare communication, aiming to drive quality improvement in the market. It is now the biggest award in the pharmaceutical and healthcare market segments.

The Hear the World campaign received the 2008 “Corporate Communications” Award. The annual award stands for creative, integrated communication and the winners are selected by an impartial panel of judges. The purpose of the award is the promotion of professional internal and external communication in business and public administration. It recognizes the most successful integrated communication projects by agencies, major companies, SMEs, non-profit organizations and public administrative bodies.

The Hear the World magazine received the 2007 “iF communication design award”. This internationally renowned design competition recognizes achievements in the ever diversifying field of communication design - from printed image brochures to campaigns to websites. The award is presented to outstanding designs, offering an opportunity to compete with innovative products in a serious competition.

The Hear the World magazine received the 2007 “European Excellence Award” in the category “External Publications”. This award recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of corporate publications.

The Hear the World magazine received the 2007 “Best of Corporate Publishing” Award in the category “Non Profit/ Associations B2C/Institutions”. With more than 600 submitted publications, the “Best of Corporate Publishing” Award is the biggest corporate publishing competition in Europe. Since 2003, the award has been presented by the Forum Corporate Publishing and, the leading industry magazines acquisa, Horizont, w&v and Schweizer Werbewoche to the best corporate publications from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Innovation Award
The Hear the World initiative received the 2007 Innovation Award of the "International Sponsoring Awards". The award recognizes creative and successful sponsoring projects by companies and agencies. The awards were presented to eligible sponsoring projects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the following categories: Sports, culture, media and public.
With the non-profit Hear the World Foundation, Sonova advocates equal opportunities and improved quality of life for people with hearing loss around the world.
