45 Male - Sudden Hearing Loss

I awoke one morning to a loud ringing, and mistakenly thought that the fire alarm was going off, After a few minutes of scrambling, I realised that it was coming from inside my right ear. The anguish i suffered that day will live long in my memory, I did not want to do anything, I longed for quiet. Well from then it has been a gradual loss of hearing, but a good left ear, now six months later that ear has lost hearing as well. I'm scheduled for an MRI, but this is unbearable, I'm forever saying sorry, pardon, what, as I cannot hear, and now when i swallow, I get a beep in my right ear (must be pressure related). I know I won't find any answers here, I'm just glad that I'm not alone. I have no scarring, and no visible signs of hearing damage. This is really frightening, and incredibly crippling for me. I spend my days now, worrying that I'm going to be completely deaf by the end of the year.
