CHANCES*
A bright future for children in Nairobi

The musician and Hear the World ambassador, Patrick Nuo, has assumed the patronage for a care project of the Hear the World Foundation in Nairobi, Kenya. In May 2011 he travelled to Nairobi together with the German ENT physician, Dr. Michaela Fuchs, and members of the Hear the World Foundation and met local children affected by hearing loss, got to know the conditions in which they live and exchanged information with the Foundation’s partners.

Patrick Nuo’s commitment won over not only the children, but also Dr. Michaela Fuchs. “His visit makes a definitive contribution towards making the general public aware of our work and thus towards acquiring more financial support."

From the project visit to the photo exhibition

Patrick Nuo was accompanied by Hamburg-based photographer Philipp Rathmer, who documented the project visit in Kenya. A fascinating series of photos emerged, which impressively shows the project, the people and the day-to-day life in Nairobi.

A selection of these powerful and touching photographs will be shown as part of the CHANCES* photo exhibition in the Flo Peters Gallery in Hamburg from 17.11.2011 - 27.11.2011.
