Annie Lennox was known as the better half of the pop duo Eurorythmics. In the 80’s the duo made worldwide hits and sold over 75 million records. After the separation from her partner Dave Stewart, the singer and songwriter started her solo career. The Scottish solo artist won numerous awards and conquered the charts. The high point in her career was when she won the Oscar for the theme song in the third part of „Lord of the Rings,“ combined with her 2007 album „Songs of Mass Destruction,“ made her one of the most famous female singers in the world.  Besides the work that Annie Lennox performs as ambassador for the Hear the World initiative, she is also an ambassador for Oxfam, a worldwide non-partisan relief organization and a generous donor to various other charitable societies.
