The risk of suffering from hearing loss is widely underestimated
TNS Infratest study reveals an uninformed public. A majority of the population underestimates the dangers of hearing loss, according to a new study conducted by TNS Infratest. Conducted on behalf of Phonak, the study Is based on the responses from a pool of 3,000 participants taken from Germany, France and the U.S.A. According to the September 2006 study, 17 percent of people have suffered from hearing problems at one point in their lives, but only half of those have actually sought professional help.
