William "Smokey" Robinson Junior is an American artist, producer, songwriter and part owner of a record label. In the end of the 50’s, together with his at the time band, they were the first from the legendary record label ”Motown Records” to deliver a hit. As leader of the Motown band „The Miracles“ and as a solo artist, Robinson received altogether 37 Top40 hits for Motown and became Vice President of the Label. In 1999 he received a Grammy for his lifetime achievements. Smokey Robinson continues to tour the world and make different guest appearances. Along with his role as Hear the World ambassador, he is also spokesperson for other charity organizations.
