Professional care and training for local partners

As well as helping to provide patient care, the videoconferencing module is also being used to provide training for audiology students at Lamar University. Since they typically have not had much contact with CI patients yet, training via videoconferencing on areas such as CI treatment and programming is particularly important. This is intended to help ensure a better local CI service in Beaumont in the long term. The Hear the World Foundation is providing financial support for the project.
