About this project
The war in Ukraine has been ongoing for over three years, and around 3.7 million people have been displaced within the country. Many of them lack access to basic services, including hearing care.
As part of a special relief project to support Ukraine, the Hear the World Foundation has donated 1,000 hearing aids for children and adults. In collaboration with a local distribution network, we organized the distribution of these hearing aids to eleven locations in central and western Ukraine, including clinics and children’s hospitals. Since the start of our initiative in autumn 2023, 729 hearing aids have already been fitted for children and adults affected by the war.
Each person who receives a hearing aid through this initiative has a unique and often challenging story. We at Hear the World are grateful to be part of their journey and would like to thank the dedicated volunteer team from Sonova who made this donation possible.
